Foreign applicants, coming to Ukraine to study, must receive a study invitation from the university. The issuance of "Study Invitations" (hereinafter the Invitation) is regulated by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science No. 1541 dated 01/11/2013. "Procedure for issuing study (internship) invitations to foreigners and stateless persons in Ukraine and their registration" as amended by the orders of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 1272 dated 11/12/2015 and No. 1167 dated 11/08/2017.

The foreigner shall provide the selection committee for the issuance of Invitations with copies of the following documents:

  1. passport of a foreigner;
  2. a document on the obtained level of education with grades (marks) obtained in academic disciplines or an academic certificate;
  3. written consent to the processing of personal data.

If necessary, documents are translated into Ukrainian, and if possible, online interviews are conducted.

The educational institution fills in the electronic form for invitation, which is submitted together with electronic copies of documents to the USCIE. After being registered in the electronic journal of the USCIE, the invitation is printed on the official invitation form, and the original is provided to the foreigner personally or through the Recruitment Coordinator. The Invitation is valid during the period of 6 months. The applicant with the Invitation form applies to the Embassy of Ukraine and issues a visa to enter Ukraine for study purposes.

Enrollment of a foreigner or a stateless person in the university is regulated by the above-mentioned order of the Ministry of Education and Science No. 1541 dated 01/11/2013.

The applicant must inform the University about the date of arrival in Ukraine. At the border crossing point the applicant is met by a representative of the university and accompanied to the educational institution. Optionally, a foreign citizen may settle in a hostel.
