Training foreign citizens for admission to higher educational institutions Dear foreign citizens, We invite you to get ready for admission to higher educational institutions of Ukraine (license of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine series AE № 636104) at the Center for Advanced Training and Vocational Adaptation of Kremenchug Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University in the following areas: - engineering and technology, - engineering and economics, - economics, - humanitarians. Term of training – 10 months (September-June). The main tasks of pre-university training of foreigners: 1) formation of knowledge, skills and abilities to the extent that provides further successful education of foreign students in higher educational institutions of Ukraine; 2) formation of the minimum required vocabulary and professional terms (depending on the chosen specialty) in Ukrainian; 3) creating the necessary conditions for the rapid adaptation of foreigners in the new socio-cultural environment. The complex of academic disciplines depends on the chosen specialty. The following ones are mandatory for all disciplines: - the Ukrainian language; - the study of the history, geography and culture of Ukraine; - the basics of computer science and computer engineering. Future specialists in engineering-technology and engineering-economics study mathematics, physics, chemistry, drawing; students of the field of economics study mathematics, economic and social geography of the world, basics of economics; in humanitarian field – basics of Ukrainian and foreign literature, history, economic and social geography of the world. Training of foreign citizens is carried out on the basis of working curricula in disciplines, which are compiled in accordance with the standard curricula and programs developed by the Educational and Methodological Commission for Pre-University Training of Foreign Citizens of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The educational process of training foreign citizens consists of classroom practical classes, lectures (in the second semester), independent work of students, additional classes or consultations, in which lecturers explain topics that are difficult for students or raise questions. At the end of the first semester, foreign citizens take differentiated tests in all disciplines, a written and oral exam in the Ukrainian language. At the end of the second semester, the students of the department take tests and exams in the Ukrainian language, chemistry, physics and specialized disciplines. During the semesters, the academic achievements of foreign citizens are rated. An integral part of the educational process is educational work both during classes and after classroom hours. It includes familiarization of foreigners with the legislation of Ukraine concerning the status of foreign citizens, rules of residence and movement in the territory of Ukraine, acquaintance with the features and traditions of life of the Ukrainian people, the organization and carrying out of excursions, rest parties, etc. with the obligatory account of customs and traditions of the countries from which foreign citizens arrived. Foreign citizens come to study after receiving the invitation of the state standard, and having visa support of the Ministries of Education and Science and Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Documents for receiving an invitation to study (provided by representatives of intermediary firms): - passport copy; - a copy of the document on complete secondary education; - a copy of the appendix to the document on complete secondary education with grades for all disciplines; - consent to the processing of personal data. Documents for enrollment of foreign citizens in pre-university training at the Center for Advanced Training and Vocational Adaptation (provided upon arrival in Ukraine): - the original and a copy of the passport document of the foreigner or the document certifying the stateless person; - the original and a copy of the document on complete general secondary education; - the original and a copy of the appendix to the document on complete general secondary education with grades for all disciplines; - the medical certificate of health with a conclusion as to the abilities to study in Ukraine, issued no later than 2 months before the date of departure to Ukraine; - health insurance policy, unless otherwise provided by international agreements of Ukraine; - 4 photos (mat) - 30x40 mm. The documents must be translated into Ukrainian (Russian) and notarized.
