The Preparatory Department carries out the educational activity and pedagogical work with foreign students and students of pre-university training before entering higher educational institutions. Main functions of the department:

• teaching foreigners of Ukrainian (Russian) as a foreign language in order to prepare them to enter Ukrainian higher educational establishments;
• to teach the language of the subject, for further study and perception at the initial stage of training in the universities of the following natural-sciences subjects: mathematics, biology, physics, chemistry, informatics, drawing.
