Preparatory department

In order to master the Ukrainian language, foreign citizens have the opportunity to study at the Preparatory Courses for Foreigners and Stateless Persons. The main goal is to learn the language as a means of communication and mastering the skills of speaking, writing, reading, listening.

Disciplines:

Ukrainian language;

Mathematics;

English.

Enrollment of foreigners to the preparatory department of the KSMA is made in case of availability of a complete general secondary education obtained outside Ukraine. Training of foreigners in the preparatory department is carried out on a full-time basis at the expense of individuals and legal entities in accordance with the curriculam developed by the KSMA.

Term of study - 9 months. Foreign citizens who have successfully completed the curriculum receive a state certificate, which entitles them to enter the Kherson State Maritime Academy and higher education institutions of Ukraine.

The preparatory department pays great attention to educational work taking into account national characteristics, mentality, religious beliefs, culture, etiquette and habits of foreign students to facilitate their adaptation to new living and learning conditions. Language practices are also held when visiting various museums, theaters, planetariums. Such events not only unite students, but also introduce them to our city. All this makes the life of a foreign student in our country as comfortable as possible.
