Odesa State Agrarian University is the oldest institution of higher agrarian education in the south of Ukraine, with glorious traditions and scientific schools.
Since 2019, the university has implemented a strategy of close cooperation with foreign partners, and an important aspect is the establishment of the educational process with foreign students of higher education. OSAU provides an opportunity to acquire all the necessary basic knowledge of the Ukrainian language, which helps students acclimatize faster. The university also provides an opportunity to study in English, which is important for acquiring new knowledge and skills. Taking into account the difficult times and upheavals in our country, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, together with the Ukrainian State Center for International Education, developed a strategy for accepting documents for registration of distance learning, and our university, together with the Center for International Education for the Training of Foreign Citizens, taking care of the safety of its future students, conducts recruitment remotely.
The Odesa State Agrarian University has an international education center for the training of foreign citizens, which provides training for students at the preparatory department for admission to a higher educational institution and basic training at the faculties. The Preparatory Department of the Odessa State Agrarian University (ODAU) accepts foreigners and stateless persons who have a certificate of complete general secondary education and can study in institutions of higher education and live in the climatic conditions of Ukraine due to their health. Pre-university training The pre-university training program will allow to adapt the acquired knowledge to the educational system of Ukraine. Successful completion of studies at the Preparatory Department is a guarantee of admission to the ranks of students of Odessa State Agrarian University or any other higher education institution of Ukraine. At the Preparatory Department, purposeful language training of foreign citizens and training in general education disciplines is carried out in order to ensure successful study at the main faculties of OSAU and other higher education institutions of Ukraine. Pre-university training consists of two cycles: The first cycle is language training II cycle – study of general disciplines. The International Education Center for the Training of Foreign Citizens provides training for foreign citizens in the following areas: health care, biological, agricultural engineering and technical, engineering and economic Training is conducted in Ukrainian and English when forming a group of 15-20 people. Terms of admission: Deadlines for admission to preparatory department until November 15 (by separate agreements, admission is possible during the year) Duration of study: preparatory department - 10 months, 6 months, 4 months Start of classes: at the preparatory department: depending on the number of academic groups; students at faculties - from September 1; Admission of foreigners to study can be carried out face-to-face and/or remotely.
