INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITY IN DNIPROVSKY STATE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

The international activity of DSTU has been carried out under the current legislation since 1989 to develop and coordinate relations with foreign higher education institutions, organizations, enterprises, and foundations. Today, the university has established and operates a structure that deals with aspects of international cooperation. The main activities of the structure of international cooperation: personnel; For 33 years, the university has maintained business relations at the level of agreements on cooperation in education and science with educational institutions and organizations in China, Germany, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic, Israel, Poland, Great Britain, Spain, Denmark, USA, Slovakia. Since 2000, the university has had a license to study foreign nationals. Citizens from Turkmenistan, Serbia, Tajikistan, Sudan, Israel, Moldova, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Belarus, and Azerbaijan have been studying at the university for 22 years. The experience of receiving grants from international programs and participation in international projects is positive. The University has completed the project KTU "Sector of knowledge transfer - from the exchange of engineering and entrepreneurial innovations to the development of interdisciplinary curricula" of the European program TEMPUS, agreement 544031-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-AT-TEMPUS-JPHES (12/2013 - 11 / 2016). The project partners are universities from Austria, Hungary, Sweden, Spain, and Ukraine. Our University received office equipment worth a total of 40,000 euros, including innovative equipment: a modern 3D printer and scanner, and we created a laboratory of computer 3D modeling thanks to this equipment. For four years, the University was an official partner of the European project IRNet "International research network for the study and development of new tools and methods of advanced pedagogical science in the field of information and communication technologies, e-learning and intercultural competences," PIRSES-GA-2013-612536 agreement, developed in context 7th Framework Program of the European Union to support the learning and career development of researchers, Marie Curie Exchange Program (01/2014 - 12/2017). The official participants of the project are higher education institutions of Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Spain, Australia, Portugal, and Ukraine. As part of the project, DSTU staff visited universities in Spain (University of Extremadura, Badajoz), Portugal (University of Luciada, Lisbon), Slovakia (University of Philosopher, Nitra), Poland (University of Silesia, Katowice). , The Netherlands (University of Twente, Enschede), Czech Republic (University of Ostrava, Ostrava). The University is an official participant in the project: SEA4VALUE "Development of radical innovations in the extraction of minerals and metals from seawater desalination salines" (01.06.2020 - 31.05.2024), funded by the European Commission under the European Union Framework Program "Horizon 2020". The project is implemented by an international consortium of 15 research organizations, universities, and industrial companies from the European Union (Spain, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Finland). According to the international programs of academic exchanges, students of higher education of our University studied for a master's degree at the University of Texas, USA; in the graduate school of the Federal University of Technology (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland; in the Master's program at the University of Umeå, Sweden; at the graduate school of Bocconi University in Milan, Italy; Bachelor's degree from the University of Montana, USA; with a Master's degree from L'Aguila University, Italy. Participation in international organizations and unions has expanded the forms of cooperation. The University has been fruitfully cooperating with the Alliance-Française Center, the Academic Exchange Program named after W. Fulbright (USA), the International Association of Students and Young Professionals "AIESEC" for a long time, the International Union of Foreign Language Teachers TESOL-UKRAINE, the International Spencer Society for a long time. In addition to traditional forms of international cooperation, including training of foreign nationals, participation in international grants and programs, sending on training courses, student educational practice, organization and participation in international scientific conferences, joint scientific work of scientists, organization of language practices, the University uses such new forms of cooperation as summer employment of students for temporary work in the United States. Researchers and university students take part and make reports at international conferences, symposiums, and congresses. DSTU has its own experience in holding international events. Together with the Institute of Nature Management and Ecology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, an international scientific and technical symposium "Ecologist 's Week," is held every two years. Every year DSTU holds an international scientific conference "Mathematical problems of technical mechanics," and an interstate scientific - methodological conference "Problems of mathematical modeling." International cooperation enhances the authority of the university both in Ukraine and abroad.
