Davaasuren Tserenpilin was born in 1964 in the town of Muren Hubsugul aimaka. After graduating from Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute, in 1994 he graduated from the Academy of Management in Mongolia, and in 1995 he received a master's degree from Sutama University in Japan as an economist. Since 1992 he has worked in the energy system of Mongolia. In 1995-2005 he worked in the Ministry of Finance of Mongolia, in 2005-2008 - in the Ministry of Education of Mongolia. Since 2008 he has been a member of the Great State Hural. In 2018, Davaasuren Tserenpilin was appointed Minister of Energy of Mongolia.
