English-language camp MASCOT at TNEU
In August 2019 the MASCOT English camp was based at the West Ukrainian National University for the first time. More than 60 active young people from different regions of Ukraine have come to improve their English language skills. Education and Research Institute of Innovative Educational Technologies was helping to coordinate the camp. At the MASCOT English camp, active youth discover their talents, develop teamwork skills through participation in elective classes in music, ecology, healthy lifestyles, public speaking, project management, conflict management, and more. The training at the camp ends with each group presenting their project, which is intended to solve pressing social issue and pcomote tolerance in the society. Camp participants organized a fundraiser to purchase an electronic stove and a shower for the hematology department of Ternopil Clinical Hospital in the Taras Shevchenko park. Winter School WINT 2019
The WINT 2019 Winter School, organized within the framework of the ERASMUS + Aliot project, took place at the West Ukrainian National University from January 31 to February 3, 2019. Representatives of TNEU participated in the work of the School: prof. Anatolii Sachenko , prof. Volodymyr Kochan, assoc. prof. Vasyl Yatskiv, assoc. prof. Vasyl Koval, assoc. prof. Hryhorii Hladii, assoc. prof. Zbyshek Dombrovskyi, PhD Oleksandr Osolinskyi, PhD Myroslav Komar, PhD Pavlo Bykovyi, PhD Diana Zahorodnia, PhD Taras Tsavolyk, Vitalii Dorosh, Ivan Kit, Stanislav Novosad, Andrii Kanovskyi. The scientists presented reports on the topics: «Deep learning for IoT», «Суbersecurity of IoT based on Blockchain technology», «IoT for Smart energy grid: Integrating the smart grid components in IOT environment», «IoT Application for Intelligent Transport Systems». As a result of the TNEU I West Ukrainian IT-Perspective Forum held on November 24, 2018, 6 winter IT schools were created at the WUNU Faculty of Computer Information Technologies:- School of Microcontroller Systems Design,
- JAVA Winter School,
- School of Information Technologies of the Future,
- School of ethical hackers,
- School of Internet Economics,
- School of Automated and Computer-Integrated Technologies.
The first summer law school "Leader of Law" at TNEU Law School
On April 10, 2017, a new project of the legal clinic of WUNU “LIBERTA” was opened - LEADER OF LAW School. This is a project aimed at enhancing students' knowledge of law and practical skills in their profession. Under the program, students will gain knowledge of various fields of law and will enhance their practical skills. The agenda of the project includes: lectures, seminars, trainings, master classes and internships in public authority agencies, local self-government, notary offices, law firms, law enforcement agencies. Employees of prosecuting authorities, national police, advocacy, notary, courts, justice and leading law firms are invited as speakers and experts. To consolidate the acquired knowledge, program participants will undergo modular control (tests). Students who have successfully completed the internship program will receive certificates. In October 2015, the TNEU Active Youth School started its activity. This is an annual intensive course for young people on the basics of leadership, self-development, teamwork, writing and presentation of youth projects.
