Dual Degree Programs
The implementation of the Double Diploma program at Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University began in 2013, confirming the agreement with the University of Economics and Innovation (Lublin, Poland) for students of the specialty “Business Economics”.
The importance of the pro-European course of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University was determined by the search for new partners for the implementation of joint programs. Since 2015, in the context of expanding Ukrainian-Polish cooperation in the field of education and science, students of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University have been given the opportunity to obtain a free master’s and bachelor’s degree in “Business Administration” at the Polonia University (Czestochowa, Poland). Under the agreement of the HEI leaders, program participants are provided with a scholarship that covers the cost of training and accommodation. It is important to note that this program is fully provided in English.
An important milestone for Double Diplomas was initiated after the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Jan Długosz Academy in Czestochowa on May 30, 2015 (now called the Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa). The first agreement on joint education of bachelors in the Double Diploma program at Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University and Jan Długosz Academy in Czestochowa was signed on September 15, 2016, which resulted in the implementation of a joint education for bachelors and masters in “Computer Science and Mathematics”.
Since December 2016, obtaining Double Diplomas has become possible for students of the specialty “Physiotherapy”. In the 2017-2018 academic year, the areas of the Double Diploma program were expanded with the specialties “Culture in Mass Media and Communication”, “Biotechnology”, “Physics”, “Physical Education” and “Chemistry”. From 2018, students of specialties “Social work”, “Tourism and recreation” can obtain a double diploma. In 2020, students of specialty “Economy” can also participate in Double Diploma program.
In the context of academic exchange in May 2017 with the Vytautas Magnus University (Kaunas, Lithuania) launched a joint training of bachelors in the specialty “Biology”.
