Natsagiin Bagabandi is a Mongolian statesman and politician. President of Mongolia (1997-2005), Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, a graduate of the Odessa Technological Institute of Food Industry. MV Lomonosov (now Odessa Academy of Food Technologies). Bagabandi was born on April 22, 1950 in Dzabhan Province (province) to a peasant family. In 1975 he graduated from the Leningrad Technical School of Refrigeration Industry and entered the OTIFP at the Faculty of Canning Technology with a degree in Refrigeration Technology. During the years of study he proved to be an enterprising student. From the 1st year he was the secretary of the fellowship of Mongolian students in Odessa, who took care of the quality of education, discipline, raising the cultural level of his compatriots. In 1978 he was a delegate to the 17th Congress of the Mongolian Revolutionary Youth Union. An active participant in the social and sports life of the institute. As a member of the national team of foreign students in volleyball and chess, he has repeatedly won prizes in city competitions. In preparation for his future profession, N. Bagabandi took an active part in scientific work. And the diploma project on "A typical project for the reconstruction of a meat processing plant with the construction of a shop for the production of quick-frozen and canned meat products in relation to the Mongolian People's Republic" under the leadership of Associate Professor Fedyunina Ninel Alexandra, defended by him perfectly. Returning to his homeland, N. Bagabandi worked as head of the ideological department of the Central Aim Committee of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (1980-1984), lecturer, head of the sector, adviser to the department in the Central Committee of the MNRP (1987-1990). After some time he continued his education at the Academy of Social Sciences under the Central Committee of the CPSU and in 1987 defended his dissertation on "Ideological support for solving the problems of agricultural production: on the materials of MNRP, taking into account the experience of the CPSU." He was awarded the degree of Candidate of Philosophical Sciences in "Theory of Scientific Socialism and Communism." In 1990-1992 N. Bagabandi was elected a member of the presidium, secretary of the Central Committee of the MNRP, deputy chairman of the party, and in 1992-1996 - he was chairman of the Great State Hural (VDH), in 1996-1997 - chairman of the MNRP faction in VDH. In 1997, N. Bagabandi won the presidential election, and in 2001 he was re-elected head of state. He is the second president in the history of Mongolia, and the first, re-elected in the national elections. In 1995, while on a working visit to Ukraine, N. Bagabandi visited his native university, where he met with management, teachers and former classmates. At the solemn meeting of the Academic Council of the Odessa State Academy of Food Technologies N. Bagabandi was awarded the degree of Honorary Doctor of Sciences of the Academy. In 2002, as President of Mongolia, Natsagiin Bagabandi paid an official visit to Ukraine. His visit was divided into two parts. In the first, in Kyiv, President Natsagiin Bagabandi held talks with his Ukrainian counterpart. And in the second - Odessa - completely devoted to memories of the university where he spent his youth. The visit to the "alma mater" ended with the presentation of a diploma and mantle of an honorary professor of the Academy. N. Bagabandi was awarded the Orders of Friendship (2000) and Suhee-Bator (2006). In the history of our Academy, the name of its 1980 graduate Natsagin Bagabandi is inscribed forever.

Adnan Kivan - Ukrainian businessman of Syrian origin, one of the largest developers in Odessa, a graduate of the Odessa Technological Institute of Food Industry. MV Lomonosov (now Odessa Academy of Food Technologies) 1987, Candidate of Technical Sciences. Adnan Kivan was born in Damascus, Syria, on December 1, 1962, where he lived until he was 17 years old. In 1980 he graduated from school and one course of ICC (industrial and civil construction) in construction. In 1981, A. Kivan came to Odessa and entered the preparatory faculty of the Odessa Polytechnic Institute (OPI, now Odessa National Polytechnic University). After graduating from the preparatory department of OPI, A. Kivan entered the technological faculty of the Odessa Technological Institute of Food Industry. MV Lomonosov (ONAFT, now - Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies) majoring in "Canning Technology". Already during his studies at ONAFT, Adnan Kivan showed managerial qualities and organizational skills, the ability to engage in administrative and scientific activities. The diploma project was implemented under the guidance of Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of Canning Technology Brovchenko Ali Andreevna on "Reconstruction of Odessa fruit and vegetable wholesale base for the production of quick-frozen juices and beverages." After graduating from the academy in June 1987, he was awarded the qualification of engineer-technologist. By a special decision of the State Examination Commission he was awarded the degree of Master of Technical Sciences. In 1993, under the scientific guidance of Academician of the Russian Academy of Technological Sciences, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Vladimir Golubev, former head of the Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology OTIHP Adnan Kivan defended his dissertation on "Development of membrane technology for concentrated beetroot industry in the specialty "Technology of food canning". He was awarded the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences. Today, A. Kivan is the owner of the British company "Kivan Company", which has a network of branches in Egypt, Nigeria and the Middle East. In 2003 he founded Kador LLC in Odessa, which became the basis of KADORR Group, owner of Channel 7 shopping center, founder of Blago-Invest (European Clinic), and the Arab Cultural Center in Odessa. A. Kivan gained fame as a patron by donating significant money to charity: the construction of the Arab Cultural Center; financial support to the management of the Opera and Ballet Theater during the action "Golden Fund of Odessa - women of the twentieth century"; transfer of 60 apartments to blind and low-income residents of Odessa and a significant amount of money for the Center for Rehabilitation of Disabled Children; financial assistance to a pharmacy for the disadvantaged at the St. Archangel Michael Convent; construction of a hospital in Syria; sponsoring the construction of the cardiology center "Good Heart" in Odessa, etc. Residents of Odessa appreciate him for both professionalism and charity. Descendant of an ancient and influential aristocratic family. Oleksiy Opanasovych Vadatursky is an outstanding Ukrainian agrarian, the founder of the largest agricultural enterprise Nibulon, a Hero of Ukraine, a graduate of the Odessa Technological Institute of Food Industry named after MV Lomonosov (now Odessa Academy of Food Technologies) 1971. Oleksiy Opanasovych was born on September 8, 1947 in the village of Bendzars of the Baltic district of Odessa region in the family of a collective farmer. He finished eight years in his native village. He received his secondary education at the Baltic Secondary General Labor Polytechnic School № 1 with a production bias. He played sports, had a degree in classical wrestling. He helped his parents while working on the Batkivshchyna collective farm. In 1966, Alexei Opanasovich entered the Odessa Institute of Technology. MV Lomonosov (OTI, now Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies) at the Faculty of Automation and Instrumentation. At the head of the institute's construction detachment he visited the Urals, Karelia, Poland, and Kazakhstan. Since 1980 he held the position of the deputy chief of the Nikolaev regional management of bakery products. Since 1991, OO Vadatursky has been the permanent general director of the joint Ukrainian-Hungarian-British agricultural enterprise Nibulon, which is engaged in growing crops using foreign technologies and high-performance imported equipment, and in the development of breeding livestock. The company is one of the largest domestic producers, exporters of agricultural products and investors in the agricultural sector of Ukraine. In addition, it controls the grain transshipment terminal on the territory of the Black Sea Shipyard. Nibulon actively cooperates with ONAFT. Thanks to the close cooperation and assistance of Nibulon, 4 laboratories for grain quality assessment and 3 educational and scientific laboratories of the Department of Automation of Technological Processes and Robotic Systems (theoretical bases of automatic control; industrial controllers, networks and CAD) were opened in the academy in December 2012; electronics and microprocessor technology). All laboratories are equipped with the latest equipment. For his work, OO Vadatursky has repeatedly been awarded government awards: in 2001 he was awarded the Golden Mercury International Prize and the Diploma of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine; in 2004 - a diploma of the All-Ukrainian competition "Successful Leader" and the Honorary Order of "Public Recognition" of the III degree; Diplomas of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Committee of Ukraine for Construction and Architecture; Order of the UOC of the Apostolic Prince Vladimir II degree (2007). On November 15, 2007, Oleksiy Opanasovych was awarded the title of "Hero of Ukraine" with the Order of the State for outstanding personal contribution to strengthening the potential of the agro-industrial complex, organizing and ensuring the achievement of consistently high performance in agricultural production, social development. Winner of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of architecture for the architecture of the transshipment terminal of the agricultural enterprise "Nibulon" in Nikolaev (2008).
