With the aim of establishing academic rights granted to the owners of foreign educational documents  (in particular, the right to continue education at a certain level of higher education), education documents issued by educational institutions of foreign States should gothrough the procedure of recognition in Ukraine in accordance with the law. This requirement does not apply to documents of foreigners studying on the programs of academic mobility and internships, provided for the assignment of appropriate qualifications/academic degrees. The applicant must apply for the recognition procedure to the competent authority during the FIRST MOUNTH of training. If the documents provided by the Applicant are not in full and/or incorrect, the competent authority may return the documents without consideration within 10 working days from the date of the registration of appliucation. The Applicant is informed about it indication of the deficiencies that must be addressed. The procedure of submitting documents: An applicant submits to the competent authority the following documents: 1)  a copy and translation of the educational document into Ukranian language certified in accordance with legislation (if necessary the original); 2) a copy and translation into Ukranian language of Supplement of the Document and/or other documents that contain information about the content of the curriculum (if necessary the original) certified in accordance with legislation. The documents specified in subparagraphs 1, 2 of this paragraph must be certified in country of their origin in a way that is officially used in this country (for countries - participants of the Convention abolishing the requirement of legalization for foreign public documents (Hague, 1961), - affixing a stamp "Apostille"). According to the results of the recognition procedure, the educational institution makes a decision on continuation of studies by a foreigner at the level corresponding to the results of the recognition procedure, or on expelling of a foreigner. If a decision is made by the Ministry of Education or Science or a higher education institution to refuse to recognize an obtained educational document, taking into account its non-authenticity, the institution will expell such a foreigner.
