What to know after receiving an invitation
The invitation for study is valid for a maximum of six months from the date of issue. The Ukrainian State Center for International Education (USCIE) registers the "Invitation for Study" on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and provides the Consulate of Ukraine with official confirmation of such registration (visa support). Visa support is a paid service, the cost of which is 324 UAH. Without visa support, the consul does not accept a foreign citizen's visa application.
To obtain a type D visa, you should submit to the Consulate of Ukraine in your country the documents according to the list provided on the Embassy's website. This list of documents is include the original "Invitation for Study". In addition, prior education documents should be formally authenticated by your pre-education application (legalized (Ministry of Education + Ministry of Foreign Affairs + Embassy of Ukraine in your country) or stamped with Apostille + legalized at the Embassy of Ukraine). These documents should be officially recognized in Ukraine to National University " Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" could give you a diploma upon graduation.
Citizens of countries with which Ukraine has signed visa-free agreements: Georgia, Moldova, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Russia do not need to open a visa to Ukraine, but must provide an original or a photocopy of the "Invitation for study" when crossing the border of Ukraine as confirmation the purpose of arrival in Ukraine
When the date of arrival in Ukraine is determined, it is important to send a notice to the university in advance of the date, time and point (airport) of your arrival, as well as the flight number. All foreigners enter and leave Ukraine through the border checkpoints at the state border with foreign passports and in the presence of a visa, unless another entry procedure is established by the legislation of Ukraine.
During the border control, a detailed interview can be conducted, during which the officers of the border service need to be convinced of the purpose of foreign entran arrival to Ukraine, financial support for their stayinf for study.
Upon arrival in Ukraine, a foreign entrant must register a visa within 72 hours. The registration of visas for foreign entrants at the National University " Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" is under the responsibility of the Department "Dean`s office for working with foreigner students".
