International partners
ONMedU cooperates with medical universities from different continents and countries, the total number of working agreements on cooperation and partnership is 45 out of 22 countries.
Negotiations on partnership and cooperation with 7 more medical, scientific and educational organizations from different countries are underway. An agreement was signed with the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (TİKA) in Ukraine to assist in the renewal and modernization of medical and scientific equipment of ONMedU within the project of international technical assistance "Support in the field of health and social services". A partnership agreement has been signed with the University Hospital of Münster (Germany).
With the active participation of the rector V.M. Zaporozhan a joint certification training project "BLS and Team Trauma Support" was organized and launched under the auspices of the World Health Organization, the Canadian International Surgical Association, the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and McGill University (Montreal), Canada.
A Memorandum of Partnership and Cooperation between ONMedU and the National Center for Maternal and Child Health under the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic has been prepared.
ONMedU also applied for participation in a joint project of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine in cooperation with the Risk Reduction Agency and the British Medical Journal "Training Initiative to Support Clinical Solution". 69 participants of the first English-language stage of the project from 27 departments were registered from ONMedU. As part of the three-year project, the British Medical Journal creates a Ukrainian portal and opens unlimited access for 3,000 Ukrainian specialists to its resources, which contain more than 1,000 clinical cases, 1,000 online training modules and cover 80% of the most common pathologies faced by primary care professionals.
The Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between ONMedU and Kaunas Medical University has been prepared for signing. The delegation of the Lithuanian University of Health (LUOZ, Kaunas) visited ONMedU, as well as the delegation of ONMedU leadership of to Kaunas to participate in the international conference "1st International conference Diplomats for life".
ONMedU cooperates in the Tempus Leadership project and as part of the International European MEDINE project. The tasks of MEDINE as an association of medical faculties and universities of Europe are to harmonize the principles of obtaining and evaluating medical education in Europe; development of a system of international recognition of specialties in the field of medical education; implementation of quality standards for medical education for Europeans, ensuring transparency and public understanding of the health education system; ensuring the link between medical education and research.
ONMedU cooperates with the Ministries of Health of Ukraine, Poland and Germany within the program of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine "European Mental Health Training" and participates in the program "Intercultural determinants of well-being in different working populations in Europe" together with the Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine (Lodz, Poland). ONMedU also participates in the cooperation of the Ukrainian Association of Physicians in Minimally Invasive, Endoscopic and Laser Technologies with the European Association of Endoscopic Surgery. Rector of ONMedU Academician of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine V.M. Zaporozhan worked as an Honorary Doctor of the Vienna Medical University (Vienna), Hanoi Medical University (Vietnam), Agra University, International Academy of Medicine. A. Schweizer (Poland), Medical University named after P. Stoyanova (Bulgaria), Ovid University (Romania) and other universities. ONMedU, as a leading institution, provided the work of the Ukraine-Japan Friendship Society: Academician V.M. Zaporozhan is the chairman of the Presidium of the society from the Ukrainian side. Also, the Rector of ONMedU, Acad. V.M. Zaporozhan received a letter from the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Ukraine from the Consul of Egypt Marwa Abdelaal Mahmoud with wishes to strengthen ties and cooperation between our countries and institutions.
Rector of ONMedU, Academician V.M. Zaporozhan is the President of the NGO "Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ukraine". The Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ukraine is a full member of the European Council and the College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (EBCOG) and the World Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics. The Association represents the interests of obstetricians and gynecologists of Ukraine at the world level.
The Youth Professional Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ukraine was established and became a full member of the European Network of Trainees in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ENTOG). 2 interns received EBCOG-ENTOG grants for internships in leading EU clinics, 2 interns visited the clinic in Turin as clinical observers. A master class on the development and adaptation of national protocols and clinical guidelines from the standpoint of evidence-based medicine (supported by UNFPA Ukraine and the Ukrainian-Swiss Maternal and Child Health Program). In the framework of cooperation with the Mother and Child Health Program, work has begun on the establishment of the Ukrainian Association of Simulation Training in Medicine and its implementation in existing European structures. A seminar (in English) on teacher training was held under the auspices of EBCOG with the assistance of the Program, with the participation of 28 teachers from various educational and clinical events in Ukraine.
As the President of the NGO "Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ukraine", the rector of ONMedU, Academician VM Zaporozhyan participates in international educational and research projects: Ukrainian-Swiss Program "Maternal and Child Health", the program "Women's Health of Ukraine"» USAID (United States Agency for International Development), Reproductive Health in Ukraine Project - Women's Health and Family Planning Charitable Foundation USAID (United States Agency for International Development), Alcohol Control System Improvement Project and Smoking During Pregnancy in Ukraine ”USAID (United States Agency for International Development).
