Dragomanov Ukrainian State University is one of the oldest (since 1835) and outstanding universities in Europe. The educational process at the university is provided by 1,500 teachers, among them 34 academicians and corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, more than 260 doctors of science, professors, more than 600 candidates of science, associate professors. The university has 35,000 students, including 500 foreign students. There is a sports complex with a swimming pool, 6 hostels. The university is located in the center of Kyiv. PREPARATORY DEPARTMENT FOR FOREIGN CITIZENS Foreign students can undergo language training for admission to institutions of higher education in Ukraine. For students of the preparatory department, the University provides visa support, support in the passage of the nostrification procedure, and provides places in a comfortable hostel. Training is carried out in the humanitarian direction FORMS OF EDUCATION: - full-time / distance learning TERMS OF STUDY: - 9 months CLASSES START: October 1 Requirements for entrants: Availability of secondary or higher education. Satisfactory state of health, confirmed by relevant medical documents. Documents required for admission to study: 1) a duly issued visa to enter Ukraine for study; 2) an official invitation letter from Dragomanov Ukrainian State University; 3) a document on secondary or higher education and supplement with grades (points) obtained (original and legalized copy/apostille); 4) a medical certificate of health (certified by the health authority of the country from which the foreigner arrived, and issued no earlier than two months before entering Ukraine) indicating the possibility of training (original); 5) 4 photographs sized 35x45 mm; 6) passport and its notarized translation; * All documents issued in foreign countries must be translated into Ukrainian language and the translation must be notarized in Ukraine. * Education and medical documents that have been issued abroad must be certified and legalized in the prescribed order unless otherwise is provided by international treaties of Ukraine. The citizens of the countries participating in the Convention on Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents (The Hague, 1961p.) should stamp the Apostille on their documents. There is no need for legalization and apostille for the documents issued in the countries participating in the Convention on Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family, and Criminal Matters (Minsk, 1993). APPROXIMATE COST OF EDUCATION - UAH 45,000. HOUSEHOLD CONDITIONS The educational building is located in the central district of the capital. Students are accommodated in university dormitories. Estimated cost of living in a hostel is UAH 5,200. (~$200). 3-4 people live in the room. Living conditions are determined by a separate agreement. The guarantee of the high quality of the training of foreign citizens is the high qualification of the teachers, their considerable experience of working with foreign students, as well as the developed modern teaching methods.
